What a pointless machine.
That shows how useless it is off road. Plus all that chintzy crap stuck to it, blurgh.

I'm a Jeep guy all day long and forgive a lot of their faults but a 2wd JK just makes me angry.

Here is a picture of my brothers 2005 LJ Rubicon just shortly after he bought it. Now that is a jeep.

To me you make compromises to have a capable off road machine (less comfortable for daily driving, poor economy etc) Having a 2wd wrangler means you make all those compromises but with none of the advantages.

Since all it does is roam parking lots, I consider this the most honest modern Wrangler ever.

The 2WD Jeep Wrangler is perfect for someone who likes the styling, but is not into heavy off-roading, like my mom.

He would have made it if he carried more speed.

The real question is why do they even make a 2wd Wrangler?
![]() 11/16/2014 at 19:22 |

Thankfully they came to their senses and only made them for a few years.

They've stopped this madness?

They produced them for 07-09 and only in the Unlimited trim. They're easy to spot due to their lower stance. Have zero resale value. Someone said it earlier but they were bought by people who just wanted the look of the jeep but with none of the functionality. However second buyers of Jeeps are normally off road enthusiast and take a 5 year old Jeep and wheel it. So to an off road guy these are basically useless.

Spot on by the people that only want a Jeep because it's a Jeep. Pretty much sounds like a perfect car for High School students who just want a Wrangler because it's a Wrangler.

That truck is about as useful as a perforated condom...

You would think they would sell millions confiding how many actually go off road

It's also for some serious off-road enthusiasts who would do axle/transfer case swaps. Therefore, they don't care whether or not the front axle is there.

Everyone is missing the potential of this jeep.
1.Remove all the off road crap stuck on
2. Hemi swap
3. Lower, wheels and some sort of high performance tires.
4. Enter every race type you can.
5?????
6. Profit

I have a friend (high school) who has one of these lifted on huge tires and it hasn't even seen gravel.
